Thank you.

We had our wedding here on 03/08/19. It was amazing! We couldn't have asked for anything more of David and Rachel. It was honestly such a great day and our friends and family are still telling us how much they loved the venue, food, music, staff and atmosphere. Thank you all again guys for making our day so so special. - Sile (via Facebook, August 2019
There was absolutely nothing we could fault. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with. David had the patience of a saint dealing with me in the run up to the wedding.. with a change of date and ever changing numbers and all that came with planning a wedding during a pandemic - he was always at the end of the phone full of good advice! - Lynda C
Guys, we can't honestly ever thank you enough for everything you did for us on Saturday and before. It was genuinely the happiest day of our lives. Our guests are still chatting about the food (!!) the drinks reception, the staff, the venue and the atmosphere. We are beyond delighted with how our day went and no words will ever express our gratitude and love for David Aoife, Peter, Paddy, Enda, Tommy, Catherine, Leona and all the other wonderful staff who made our day as incredible as it was. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. - Zoe (Via Facebook), April 2019
I attended a wedding here yesterday and what an amazing place! Fantastic surroundings and great staff! - Linda (Via Facebook), October 2017
Marion and I were hunting for a non-traditional venue for our wedding in January 2019 and after extensive searching, Marion came across The Village Barn website. We had already (almost) decided on a country house in Kildare but thought we would contact The Village Barn about a viewing. David returned our email (and all subsequent mails) immediately. He explained they were going through a renovation but would be happy to show to us. We accepted and took the (50 min) journey down. Even though the extension works was in full swing (with building material everywhere) we could see straight away that this was the place for us and we confirmed a booking that night. The venue price, per-head cost, menu choices and availability of nearby hotel accommodation were all factors for us. But really the "shabby chique" style with mis-matched furniture and quirky decorations were what sold us - this is what we wanted to share with our guests. We attended a food & wine tasting in March with other couples and that only further confirmed that we had made the right choice as the food was spectacular (David, please keep your feta, pea and mint option on the menu!). Wines Direct were also in attendance with different upgrade options. We also booked out the nearby Cosy Cottage and Turf Shed. We had no further contact with David until closer to our date (there was no point - he had weddings all summer) and then he was very responsive when we asked questions. We did travel down one more time to figure out what kind of decorations we were going to put into the sanctuary for our ceremony. We had access to the entire property from noon the day before the ceremony and that allowed us to decorate both the sanctuary and dining area. The day of the wedding could not have gone smoother. All our guests were stunned with the venue. Amy (the floor manager) was very attentive to both Marion and me and made sure that even though we were being pushed from photo to photo and relative to relative that we got a drink and some canapes - she also did a spectacular job of decorating our "cheese tower". The band and DJ had easy access to the stage. We finished up at 2am (would love to have gone on longer) and David and staff made sure that everyone had a lift to their hotel and B&B. We could not have asked for a better day and are just thankful we found this venue before it becomes booked out years in advance! - Pete and Marion
A perfect day for Maggie and Rachael's beautiful wedding on Thursday. The place is stunning, so relaxed...and safe for little kids. The staff were so lovely and on hand for anything you wanted. They were very good to kids too...would love the day all over the complementary taxi home. - Yvonne (via Facebook), July 2019
Huge thanks to David and Amy and all staff. We had such a great day there saturday. Venue 100%, food 100%+, staff 100%. Twas like having a wedding at home they were so great. Can't thank them enough. - Pat (via Facebook), August 2019
We had our Wedding Reception in The Barn and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. It is a beautiful venue; stylish, quirky, unique and magical. From our arrival in the courtyard to the delicious three course buffet and the atmosphere created by the beautiful festoon lights which deck the trees in the garden. The Barn itself is the perfect mixture of rustic glamour with its old school desks, a cosy corner by the fire and its beautiful overhanging chandeliers. The venue boasts a charming little boudoir for the bride to get ready/ powder her nose, an orangery with a roaring fire and a tea station for those who love a cuppa like myself. There is a tent which reaches out into the garden and a purpose built church which feels like it has been there for centuries. The staff are friendly, accommodating and cannot do enough for you. I’ve always loved this place and my wedding reception was a day I will never forget. Thank you to all who made it so special. - Niamh (Via Facebook), November 2018
If I could give David, Aoife and all the team at the barn ten stars, I would! Our wedding day here was perfect. The barn is truly a fabulous venue, run by a seriously professional team who are also just extremely nice people (and patient...very patient!). Many thanks again from both our families for what really was the best day of our lives. - Rosemary (Via Facebook), August 2018
I am just home from a family wedding there. Certainly very different. The food and service were absolutely top class. Particularly the garlic potatoes and roast vegetables. The atmosphere and quirky setting were out of this world. I should also say that David and the staff were so professional and helpful. We had a great experience that we will remember for a long long time. - Enda L
