David Smyth has more than twenty years of formal experience in catering and hospitality but cooking has always been a passion of his!
Having grown up in the heart of Ireland on a mixed produce farm, David picked
up a knowledge and love for cooking from his family. Following his graduation from college, he had placements in Ireland and France to build up his experience before taking on roles at some of Ireland’s finest
hotels, including The Glendalough Hotel in County Wicklow and the prestigious Mount Juliet Hotel in Kilkenny.

Having worked with her Dad, since the very beginning, Amy gained a first hand insight into the creation, set up and running of David Smyth Catering. This encouraged her to pick a Business Studies course in DCU and she is currently in her placement year, choosing to work at The Barn as our wedding coordinator.
Fiona O’Shea has recently joined the David Smyth Catering team, bringing with her a vast range of knowledge in the catering and hospitality industry, with experience both nationally and internationally.
Declan Delaney has a love for cooking that has been forged over the past 25 years in the catering industry.
Native of Dublin, Declan’s interest in food grew from an early age at family gatherings were everybody participated in the cooking. This led to working in an array of Restaurants and Hotels gaining the valuable experience that is required in the catering industry. Declan completed a Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts from AIT in 2015 before going on to achieve a Master of Science in Applied Culinary Nutrition from TUD in 2019.
