Frequently Asked Questions

What does the rental fee include?
Our 2020 rental fee ranges from €800 to €2,000. This includes exclusive use of the venue and the grounds on the day of your wedding. Should you wish to have access the day before, please state at time of booking.

Are other events scheduled on the day?
No. The site is exclusively yours while you are there. Our pub Willie’s, is open to the public, but that is separate to The Barn.

How many can you cater for?
The numbers we cater for depends on what type of wedding you would like. For a full sit down meal our Max is 220 but for a more informal reception we can cater for larger numbers.

What kind of deposit is required?
We require a €500 deposit to secure the date. A further €1,000 will be required a year in advance. Then 50% of the remaining bill to be paid the week before the wedding and the balance due on departure.

Who is responsible for putting up and taking down decorations / flowers?
It is up to each individual couple to decorate the venue as they would like it. It will generally be made available to you to decorate from the day before. Glitter, sprinkles and confetti (unless biodegradable) are not permitted. It is required that nothing is stuck to walls or any paintwork on the premises. It is also the couple’s responsibility to take down the decorations the following day.

Can I bring in my own alcohol?

No. Only alcohol that has been purchased on-site can be consumed on the premises.

Do you have credit card facilities?

Of-course!

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes the venue can be accessed by wheelchair.

Do you have a courtesy van?

Yes, the courtesy van is generally available, please check when booking. Our courtesy van runs from 10pm until 3am, alongside any buses you may have organised.

Can we have our ceremony outside?

Yes, this is possible. However, we do not have any chairs or a PA system for this so that would be something you’d have to book separately.
